Compensation: $2,375–$3,125 per pay period (~$125/hour)
About the Opportunity
A mission-driven Community Health Center in Northeastern North Carolina is seeking two General Dentists for its mobile dental clinic program — bringing quality dental care directly to underserved communities across four counties in the Elizabeth City and Gatesville region.
This is W-2 employment with a predictable schedule, permanent placement, and no locum tenens arrangements.
Two Positions Available
Position One
- Monday: Elizabeth City — 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Tuesday: Gatesville — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Optional Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Position Two
- Wednesday: Chowan County — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Optional Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Friday: Clinic closed
Compensation
- $2,375 per pay period without optional Saturday (~$125/hour)
- $3,125 per pay period with optional rotating Saturday (~$116/hour)
- W-2 employment — no locum tenens

Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive dental examinations and portable digital X-ray interpretation
- Diagnosis and treatment of oral disease and dental injuries
- Restorative procedures, simple extractions, fluoride treatments, sealants, and preventive care
- Treatment planning and local anesthesia administration
- Patient education on oral hygiene, nutrition, and prevention
- HIPAA and Medicaid-compliant electronic recordkeeping
- Average patient load of 15 patients per day
- Cleanings when clinically necessary until hygienist is onboarded
Requirements
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active North Carolina Dental License
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients
- Community health or mobile clinic experience preferred
