OB/GYN Physician — Connecticut

Position Summary

All-Genz MediMatch Recruit is recruiting an OB/GYN Physician on behalf of an established community health organization in Connecticut. This is an attractive opportunity for an OB/GYN seeking a predominantly clinic-based practice with a significantly more limited surgical and delivery commitment than a traditional hospital-based OB practice.

The Opportunity

The physician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to a diverse patient population while working alongside an interdisciplinary women’s health team. The position includes outpatient gynecologic care, prenatal services, high-risk pregnancy management, colposcopy, and other appropriate procedures.

Surgical responsibilities are limited to no more than approximately 10 hours per month, and the only deliveries performed are C-sections.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
• Provide and oversee prenatal care, including care for high-risk pregnancies
• Perform or oversee colposcopy and appropriate outpatient gynecologic procedures
• Perform required C-sections and limited gynecologic surgical procedures
• Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives, APRNs, and other clinical team members
• Supervise PA/APRN/CNM clinicians when required
• Participate in quality improvement and peer-review activities
• Maintain appropriate hospital admitting privileges
• Participate in one evening session per week as scheduled
• Provide additional clinical coverage as appropriate within the department

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (board-eligible physicians must obtain certification within three years of completing residency)
• Eligible for or currently holding appropriate Connecticut physician licensure
• Ability to obtain and maintain required hospital privileges
• Strong interest in community-based medicine and serving diverse patient populations
• Spanish-language skills strongly preferred
